Why & How I Make My Products
Natural care products should feel good to use and work the way they’re meant to. This is why I created Black Sheep Botanicals. Each product is handmade in small batches with ingredients I use myself, and I keep developing new formulations. Alongside them you’ll find the simple self-care tools I use, trust and sell at A Touch of Wellness, my massage and bodywork practice in Largo, Florida.
How I Choose My Ingredients
I’d love to tell you every ingredient in my products came straight from a garden. Many do. Some don’t, and I’d rather be honest with you about that. When I formulate, I follow three priorities:
As natural as possible, always. Wherever a whole, natural ingredient does the job well, that’s what I use.
Safety. Anything made with water needs a preservative that truly works. So I use proven preservatives, naturally sourced when possible.
Effectiveness. Natural only matters if the product works.
The result is something I’m confident in using myself and proud to share with you ~ beautifully made, with the kind of care that shows, right down to the box it arrives in. Brenda
